The paint is peeled off like flakes and settles on the bottom of the container. Loose paint residues can be rinsed off with water in a separate basin/immersion bath. The tank, pump, piping and fittings should be made of steel or stainless steel. The paint stripping time is between 10-40 minutes, depending on the type of paint, at room temperature and with layer thicknesses around 100 µm. Aluminium, brass or zinc parts can be easily attacked by longer exposure times, therefore a maximum exposure time should be determined by a preliminary test for these materials.
